Our Giving Community

When you make a gift to the Science History Institute, you join a community of donors.

Each of our donors appreciates that the Institute is the only organization in the world that does the work it does. Your support not only inspires us to work hard and think big, but also inspires others to support the Institute as well.

Laurie Landeau

Through the Laurie Landeau Foundation, LLC, Landeau helped launch our new Collections Lab building extension, among other projects.

Gordon and Betty Moore

As a cofounder of the Intel Corporation, chemist Gordon Moore is a vital force behind the silicon microchip industry. He and his wife, Betty, have been strong supporters of the Institute, taking particular interest in our rare-book collections, oral history center, archival collections, and historical research.

Eli Lilly and Company

Founded in 1876 by pharmaceutical chemist Eli Lilly, Lilly was the first company to mass-produce penicillin and was also one of the first pharmaceutical companies to produce human insulin using recombinant DNA. Through the Eli Lilly and Company Foundation, Lilly was the largest single donor to the Life Sciences Foundation (LSF) and has supported the merger of LSF and the Institute with a gift to fund the integration process.
