Travel grants are intended to help defray the cost of travel to Philadelphia solely to use the primary collections of the Othmer Library and Institute’s museum. A grant-worthy proposal will provide a short description of the research project as well as explain why the collections of the Othmer Library are important to the project. Before applying, consider contacting the librarians and curators to help define how the collections support your project by emailing [email protected].
Applications can be submitted at any time and are assessed by an internal review committee on a rolling basis until funding for that fiscal year has been exhausted. No more than one travel grant per person per fiscal year (July 1 to June 30) can be awarded.
Grants must be taken within one year of the award or the grantee must request an extension or reapply. Please contact [email protected] if you have questions.
